Feel free to switch to ADSL then if two free upgrades inside 12 months isn't good enough for you.
Do you seriously think the company can simply swap all the affected boxes on the same day?
I really don't know why some people stay with ntl. Clearly the service is so appaling that even if it was given away these people would still complain.
So, those who aren't happy, it's a free market economy, so go and use some else.

Pass, not long chatted with CS so I wouldn't hold your breath Could always try rebooting your STB to see if it refreshes it.

I'd like to know that too.
My Samsung STB is awaiting its speed upgrade in the ex C&W Bromley area although soon enough I'm getting a SACM installed because of the annoying upload problem with the Samsungs

lol 255 on this thread now.......the poll should contain alot more areas so that we get a wider idea of which areas in the UK have been upgraded automatically or online.

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)
just phoned and was told they couldn't do it over the phone, and I'll have to wait a couple of days for the upgrade to go thru automatically (I'm on 1.5 thru a samsung stb currently )
don't mind waiting tho, a couple of days ain't gonna hurt me

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)
Just called 0800 052 2000 and it got answered within seconds! Spoke to a very nice CS rep who said 'bear with me a moment I'll see what I can do". 30 seconds later I was told that the supervisor said they weren't doing the process manually as it might mess up billing. I referred her to this thread and after another short wait I was upgraded.
Now getting 1.93Mbps - 247.5KBps
Very impressed.
