Re: Euro 2012
I reckon youll manage to score and sneak in. Germany should win vs Denmark.
last group fixtures daily are at the sametime which will add some spice.

We need to win by 2 goals, which we're not going to do with the current starting 11. So: v.d. Vaart in for v. Bommel, Affelay out, and Huntelaar in. Probably put Kuyt in instead of Robben as well.
Screw the defence. You just need to score more than you let in...
Aanvalluh!!!

Females arent so good at it either, have you ever tried telling a woman to sit down and shut up?
Good result last night. Did anyone see the lasers all over the French playeri when he was taking a corner against Ukraine? I hope we wont be subjected to that nonsense.

I like him. He's a very good player when in form. There's a reason he plays for Barca. Sadly, he's been injured a lot this season, and he's not producing the goods right now. That's v. Marwijk's problem. He's banked on Affelay and Robben to produce the attacking flair and they're not doing it. There's other options in Huntelaar and v.d. Vaart. It's time he starts using them from the off.

There are other 'forums' for 'stuff' like that you know...
As regards England, how often do we have to suffer the 'doldrums' in which, after starting brightly, they can't pass or keep hold of the ball for more than 10 seconds during extended periods of their matches? It's so frustrating!
Still, having said that they scored 3 great goals and managed to come back to win after looking like they'd given up and reverted back into their shells. Credit to Gerrard, whose very skillful effort on the touchline kept the ball in play and created the chance for Carroll to bury so expertly.
Can they win the tournament? Yes, but so can many of the other teams IMHO, as the Greeks proved a few years ago. Will they win? Doubt it very much. To progress very far, they'll need to do a whole lot better than they did for large chunks of last night's game. They'll also probably need a big bit of luck in the mix.
To be honest, I'll be happy if this team just gel and start to show some real promise as a unit. If they go out fighting and giving 100% that's fine by me but if they do their usual trick of losing their way and capitulating, I don't know where we go from there. On paper the individual talent's there but in practice the combination of skill, tactics, character, professionalism, psychology etc. has so often proved to be wanting.
Before the tournament I'd have been happy for England to reach the quarter final stages, now I feel more is just possible but based on previous experience, highly unlikely. To be frank, right now I'd be more likely to bet on England losing 1-0 to Ukraine than them winning comfortably. Time will tell...

I'll be watching on one of the foreign channels if Lawro is the BBC match "expert" for our game tonight.

Lawro annoys me on BBC, and adrian annoys me on ITV...both are hopeless
