I might have seen him on a televised undercard from America last year but his name doesn't really ring a bell.
A good winning start to his career:

Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?
Have you seen the sweet deals that some lucky SKY subscribers to Box Nation are getting?
"11 Great Prizes Still to be Won!
Yesterday one lucky subscriber won 2 VIP tickets to our York Hall show on the 13th of January in our 12 Days of Christmas competition.
You can still win one of 11 great prizes, including;
Pair of VIP tickets to Nathan Cleverly’s homecoming in Cardiff, plus meet Nathan
Ring walk with Ricky Burns at his WBO Interim Lightweight Championship defence on 10th March, plus 2 VIP tickets to the show
Training day with Nathan Cleverly – WBO World Light Heavyweight Champion
Boxing gloves signed by Vitali Klitschko and Dereck Chisora
Simply subscribe between Christmas Day and the 5th of January to be in with a chance of winning.
We’ve got some huge fights coming up in 2012 including Vitali Klitscko vs Dereck Chisora, plus both Ricky Burns’ and Nathan Cleverly’s homecoming fights.
There’s never been a better time to get involved...
Are you in?
www.boxnation.tv
*One winner picked at random from each day's subscribers. All winners will be notified on the 9th of January 2012, except the winner of the Klitschko vs Chisora press conference tickets who will be notified on the 6th of January."
Being able to ring walk with Ricky Burns would be amazing. It almost makes me wish I had SKY!
Did anyone check out the Best KO's of 2011 on Eurosport last night? It was a good way to polish of a couple of beers and unwind after a hectic Christmas Day.
Have a good Boxing Day everyone

Box Nation has been on Virgin now for almost 4 weeks and I've got to say I'm not very happy at how poor the EPG listings are for each show.
On the Virgin EPG the description for some of the shows simply read as "Echo Arena" or "Millennium Stadium" without giving any info as to who is actually fighting or when the card took place. Box Nation has not yet been added to Virgins online TV listings so that's no use either.
I'm paying £10.00 per month for a channel but don't actually know what's being broadcast day to day purely down to a lack of info. The Box Nation website doesn't have listings and Box Nation doesn't feature in any TV magazines at the moment.
What's the best way of feeding this info back to Virgin? Where does the problem stem from? Is it the case that Box Nation aren't providing Virgin with enough information to complete the EPG accordingly?
Imagine subscribing to SKY Movies and all the info you got was the name of the film. No actor info, no year of production and no summary of the film. Basically you wouldn't have a clue whether you'd like to watch the film or not based purely on it's name. I'm sure you'd get pretty hacked off about it.....well that's the issue I'm having with Box Nation.

The deals/prizes you mention sound great. But unfortunately are no good to me as I'm with VM and not yet subscribed to the BN channel at the moment.
But with you mentioning the showing of Eurosports Best KO's of 2011 last night. ESPN are putting on the best of the Friday Night Fights Match-Ups of 2011 in 3 separate hourly showings. With part 1 starting at 22:30-23:30 tonight(HURRY). Parts 2 and 3 are to follow tomorrow and Wednesday at the same time/s.
Apologies for tonight's short notice but just noticed them myself - That's if anyone's interested?

Re: BoxNation on Virgin Media?
@ Rivva
I recorded the ESPN show. It was the Pawel Wolak war against Delvin Rodriguez from about 5 months ago. A total war from start to finish!
Whilst I enjoy ESPN Friday Night Fights, which makes it's return to ESPN a week this Saturday, I have been very dissapointed with their lack of commitment to boxing. Sure they offer great classis fights on ESPN Classic but the lack of live or British action has been a total let down.
I just wish one of the channels would pick up action from Japan and Thailand, even if on tape delay. There are some really good proper legitimate world champions fighting out of those countries that get zero coverage. Kompayak Porpramook Vs. Adrian Hernandez for the WBC light flyweight title a few days ago was apparently fantastic, a real genuine fight of the year contender. There is a fantastic card on the 31st December from Japan:
Jorge Solis Vs. Takashi Uchiyama - WBA World super featherweight title
Celestino Caballero Vs. Satoshi Hosono - WBA World featherweight title

Hi Chad,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We've raised it with our TV team. It's all ok on TiVo, just all our other boxes. Ref 1842059

As I'm not subscribed to the channel I'd still say you have a valid point in what you've quoted. Well out of order if you ask me...
Might be better if they changed it to BoxexplaNation if you ask me so everyone knows what's happening with the EPG listings etc..

It's not been great however boxing tends to go on holiday for 4 weeks at this time of year.
The live action should start pick up again soon:
13th January:
Leon Williams Vs. Shane McPhilbin
BBBofC British Cruiserweight Title
Larry Olubamiwo Vs. Sam Sexton
Heavyweight Contest
20th January:
Derry Matthews Vs. Emiliano Marsili
IBO Lightweight Title
Steve Forbes Vs. Ryan Barrett
International Welterweight Contest
We should also get the following contests seeing Box Nation have a broadcast deal with Sauerland:
14th January
Robert Stieglitz Vs. Henry Weber
WBO Super Middleweight Title
Arthur Abraham Vs. Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias
International Super Middleweight Contest
There is also a Golden Boy Promotions card on the 28th January we might get too.
I must admit however the Box Nation line-up did seem better when the channel was free. As they're still in their infancy, and still trying to attract paying customers, I'm going to give them a few months to prove to me that the channel is worth £10.00 per month. The same repeats over and over again are getting a bit tiresome.

To me the Sky Sports sub or Racing UK represent far better value.
