Lennon, should know better, he is the captain, I hope he gets it taken away from him, silly boy.

I would disagree with that - when i first saw the tackle, i thought that it was a yellow and not a red, but then i looked at the replays and you can clearly see that he was very late and could have inflicted serious injury.
IMO a red, and nobody on CrapSport SPL disagreed either.
That cost you the game too i think.

it did cost us the game, but thopmson costs us the game all the bloody time. and lennon is a pain in the **** as well, he gave up very early, not captain material.
still think it should only have been a yellow.

Re: The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
Talking about Chelsea being expensive..
Quote:
Cricket is king as Chelsea advertise tickets
As seats to the England cricket team's Ashes matches against Australia continue to be the hottest tickets of the British sporting summer, England's most high-profile football club yesterday suffered the ignominy of having to advertise for fans and break its own sales policy to lure the punters in.
[...]Noticeable by its absence was a tariff card, informing buyers that the cheapest places on offer will cost £48. Other seats are available for £60.

Hmmmm,
Rangers get the team that put Celtic out in the group stages.
Wonder what odds you would get of them beating Rangers 5-0?

Interesting stat from the weekend. Bury FC became the first side to score 1000 goals in all four divisions.
