Re: Samsung Galaxy S3
Had some USB adapters turn up today. Ordered 3 different ones from Hong Kong which added up to a grand total of £1.47 with free postage
Was done as an experiment and they took 21 days to get here. Surprising quality considering they cost less than 50p each. All work ok too, plugged a USB keyboard, mouse and flash pen into the S3 as well as wireless dongles for others too. Weird having a mouse pointer in your android browser. Thinking of getting a mhl cable now in the hope it can be used at the same time as a mouse and keyboard for easy TV screen browsing anywhere there is a HDMI port.

Replied to a message and put it on the table, went to check it 20 minutes later, dead as a dodo.
I can't be sure but it looks like the sudden death bug which usually happen between 150 and 200 days of first using the phone. Mine was 156 or so days old.
There was a software fix in one of the software updates, which I didn't get due to being rooted.
Guessing I talk straight to Samsung as it has a 2 year warranty with them, rather than with Three who the contract is with or the online site I signed up via?

Re: Samsung Galaxy S3
If you have version 4.1.2 of android then you are patched against it, even if rooted now.
The over the air updates won't install when they see the root, so you are normally stuck on your current version after rooting. You can manually update it if you are adventurous though
