Re: 50Mb areas

I had been told by virgin media that I had a letter of 50mb is ready in your area as a coming soon, just log on to virgin media website and enter your post code, but my area isn't ready say the custumer care and they had no plan to bring 50Mb to Telford area until next year. I say to them "why did virgin media send me a letter for?" and they had no idea of why it was sent to Telford as a wrong area.

The 50Mbit rollout completes during summer of 2009 so no idea what whoever you were talking to was talking about.

Customer care have no idea at all about the 50Mbit rollout though and shouldn't be making any comment on it.

Re: 50Mb areas

Had an e-mail from Sir Richard to say that it's now available to us - does this mean Knowsley has been upgraded?

The post code checker still says no.

Zhad,

Areas are being done by hubsite rather than franchise area or whichever, so for Ex-Telewest we can use the information from the Virgin Media website:

Well that's a bit of a worry, since the hubsite I'm connected to isn't on that list, actually none of the sites near here are either.
