Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer
Very odd. I'm in the Luton area, and the schedule says "TBC" for us for the upgrade. However, I rebooted my modem yesterday, and I got a 640k/s download today, and just checked, and i'm doing speedtests of 8mb and my Modem config is saying 10mb.
Wonder what's going on. Not that i'm complaining.

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer
the 10mb upgrades were due to be done today in Swansea but looked on Maintenance page and UBR upgrades are being done tomorrow here and Chief Execs office said the 10mb upgrades are being done same time as that.
So wait and see....

Where am I ????
Any kind forum member happen to know where I am?
OK! I mean, of course, in relation to Virgin Media cable system. I live in Hounslow, West London. I cannot see from the Virgin website where that fits in with their network locations.
Any information welcome!

Thanks! That's very clever.
143.cable.ubr12.haye.blueyonder.co.uk
Does this mean that I am in the Hayes area for Virgin purposes?

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer
Despite Nottingham still being TBC in their list, I seem to have the upgraded in South Notts (cpc1-clif2-0-0-custxxx.nott.cable.ntl.com)
Almost 10 Mb/s down and close to 500 kb/s up.
Sooner than I expect.

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer
Since my unannounced upgrade from 4mb to 10mb yesterday (Luton), my speed has slowly but steadily dropped from the full 10mb through to 2mb now.
Thanks Virgin. That's the second reason today you've given me to switch.

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer
Anybody know anything about the Poplar upgrade? It's down as being due for upgrade in April but I've not heard anything yet?
I'd be thankful for any info?

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer
Seems some South notts done and north notts
nothing central Nottingham though
cpc3-nott1-0-0-custxxx.nott.cable.ntl.com still running at 3.9mb which is still a change from the normal 2mb !
