Disney plus and Amazon Prime Video for a year. Thought I'd shell out whilst I still have money to help keep the kids entertained whilst housebound.

First phone for our daughter, a few weeks before her birthday but now the school is closed and she is off to high school in the autumn we don’t want her to start losing contact with friends.

Re: What have you just bought?
Some hand weights (3kg) and a weight bag (10kg). Most choices are unavailable or now getting more expensive.
2 sets of Gordon Giltrap signature guitar strings from New Tone Strings. Remarkably these are about £1 more than I used to pay over 20 years ago. If you play guitar try them out - really nice strings.

Leucillin spray for our battle-scarred cats. A local feral tomcat will get a boot up its butt if I catch it in our garden again.

Re: What have you just bought?
Two 15mm ball isolating valves and some spare 15mm olives in B & Q.
My sister had the plumber in a while ago to fit a new main stop cock in the downstairs toilet and when he saw the wash basin didn't have a trap he disconnected the whole lot and cut and capped off the pipes to the taps. The basin drain goes straight through the wall into the yard gully so not having a trap isn't really a problem.
I'm going over on Thursday for lunch and I'll fit a proper trap and reconnect the tap supplies with the isolators to make changing a washer easier.
I thought I ought to get the parts sooner rather than later in case the whole country gets locked down harder.

Re: What have you just bought?
A 16GB memory upgrade for my Mac Mini, as I now have to pre-record and edit material for church and it was really struggling with iMovie yesterday!
Back when I first bought this computer (secondhand) I went for the late 2012 model because it was just about the last Mac Mini Apple made with expandable memory slots. Since then they have soldered memory to the motherboard.

Same with the iPad Pros - they have to break the screen to get into the gubbins; non-maintainable.
My son's girlfriend MacBook Air battery started to bulge (it was a 2013 model, and apparently this is quite common on models over 5 years old) - it was a morsel of micturition to remove the battery and replace with a looky-likey battery; probably wouldn't be able to do that with more recent models.

Re: What have you just bought?
Funny how quite a few people - who now have time on their hands - are picking up guitars they haven't played for ages, giving them a clean, maybe a re-string and quick set up, then finding that a little more practice is required again because of stiff finger joints and forgotten chord patterns
