It was meant to emphasise Judas' guilt over what he'd done.

so the demon sprints away, this type of metaphorical crap is not needed in films, this for me killed a sort of ok film (as in ok I mean ok cinematic experience for the graphics but not film as in story)
I must admit, I am catholic, so I wanted to see this, and to be honest I thought it was a bit over done, it was quick, it was brutal, the demon things is just not necessary in my opinion.
I was led to believe it was about jesus' live not just his time of execution.

How was it supposed to emphasise that? I didn't really get it.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
I take it that the demon was judas, and he saw how jesus being treated and was upset that he could no longer watch his leader/saviour take the punishment so he ran away ??????
he killed himself because of his guilt, why bring a demon into it?

When Jesus falls over a bridge, it's the bridge Judas is hiding beneath, it's where he goes to try and hide from the guilt of what he's done. So just to rub it in, he ends up eye-to-eye with Jesus who has just been thrown over the bridge. As if that wasn't bad enough, he then gets a vision of a demon to symbolise his guilt haunting him.
There are quite a few scenes in the film which don't appear in the Bible, such as Satan appearing in the Garden of Gesthemane (at the start when Jesus is praying/panicing, Satan is the bald person in the hood), and the blackbird pecking the thief's eyes out amongst other things. And before someone bleats on about it not being in "my" bible, you won't find these scenes in any bible. Gibson ackowledges he used artistic license in these scenes.

Dog Soldiers
Very good British action/horror, about a group of soldiers on excercise in the Scottish highlands, but things take an unexpected turn for the worst during a full moon...
Well worth watching
The Bourne Supremacy
Sequel to the Bourne Identity. Don't think it's something I'd be fussed about watching again, but it was quite enjoyable.

Alien (Director's Cut)
&
Aliens (Special Edition)
A pair of absolute classics
An excellent SF horror, followed by an excellent SF action film.
If only Alien3 & Alien Resurrection hadn't been complete arse...

Nowt wrong with alien 3, true its not as good as the others but I thought it was good enough.
Resurection on the other hand, now that was an abomination.
EDIT:
And recently I went to see meet the Fockers, very funny from start to finish though I liked the first one best.

It's not too bad in & of itself, but compared to 1 & 2 it's pretty poor. Also v annoying the way it killed off Hicks, plus then Ripley at the end.
Resurrection....definitely an abomination.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
Well, I have seen four movies this weekend (one at the cinema, three on DVD).
Ocean's 12 (cinema)
OK movie, not quite as good as Ocean's 11 though. Ocean's 11 had a certain charm (as did the original), it had likeable characters and good acting. Not to mention that it was interesting watching how they did the robbery.
Ocean's 12 is perfectly watchable, but it looks like they have tried to work out what made the original successful, but totally c*cked it up. It seems like they are following a formula.
Anchorman
Brilliant. Will Ferrell has been excellent in all the films I have seen him in, and this one is no exception.
Christina Applegate (Kelly in Married with Children, and Buffy the Vampire slayer in the movie on which the series was based) is looking very hot in this movie, and is a good actress as well.
It being a film written by Will Ferrell, he gets most of the good lines, but Christina more than holds her own. Ben Stiller has a bit part in this movie and is also very good.
Dodgeball
Well, as with Ocean's 12, I quite like it, but it's not up to the standard of Ben Stiller's previous films. Still you do get to see Christine Taylor (Marcia Brady in "The Brady Bunch Movie") wearing a tight leather dress..
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
I, err, went shopping while drunk on Wednesday (my local 24 hour Tescos is handy sometimes). I bought this, three pairs of socks, a bottle of coke and a packet of razor blades. I have no idea why (apart from the razor blades, I did need those).
Still, I wasn't expecting to enjoy this (While sober, I had no intention of buying it). I did quite enjoy it, it doesn't have good acting, or much of a storyline.
It does have good stunts, good Special FX and Milla Jojovich always looks nice.
Good film. Would rather have rented it though, as I don't think I'll be in any hurry to watch it again.
