Scottish Football is so far behind the Premier League it's unreal. I think they have to qualify even earlier for the Champions League next year as well

What a lovely performance by Spurs last night in their 5-0 win over hearts.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
A grim night for Scottish football all round. A last minute sickener for Rangers after dominating the first half, Celtic unable to score at home against a Swiss side fielding 4 ineligible players and Hearts getting a doing off Spurs.
Sad times and shows how far Scottish football has fallen in only a few years.

......and to think a few months ago some of us were criticised for being frank and honest about just how bad Scottish football is. Even accused of being English jingoists, if i recall correctly.
The state of Scottish football is unsurprising for a number of reasons. In particular this (courtesy of the Swiss Ramble blog):

The whole system needs a re-think from top to bottom. For too long the other clubs have survived on the days when Rangers and Celtic come to play them and are happy to jack up the prices at the expense of full grounds and atmosphere.

Yes l have some sympathy for Scottish football at the moment when you compare it to the great days when Scotland produced great talent which then went across the border to top English clubs and then became household names.

I like watching Arsenal vs Liverpool...only draw back, every time they say
"Agger", my head follows up with
Ag-a-doo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree

Yes nearing half time at The Emirates and still 0-0 and in the other early match Newcastle lead 1-0 at Sunderland with Ryan Taylor scoring.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Brilliant defensive display by Newcastle the past 2 games. Colo has looked brilliant and no signs of missing enrique yet.
Dan Gosling has looked awesome in pre-season and almost scored today too.
