You see, this makes no sense to me at all! BBC1 should be on 1!
Just makes my point that everyone is different and no method will please everyone.

I agree, I'd rather know about any impending launches, no matter how far into the future.
I assumed (perhaps erroneously) that neilo was being sarcastic in putting BBC1 on 2 etc.

Unless you meant 'favourites'

Yes, I meant 'favourites', Richard.

Thanks. To be honest I don't actually bother with 'favourites', do others use this facility to any great extent?

Maybe he was, but then someone posted in a serious argument that they thought Sky News should be before BBC News. I think most of us would agree that BBC News is the best news channel and therefore should be first on the list. On the other hand, others think it is too left wing, object to paying the licence fee, etc, etc. and would never watch it!
This is why it is pointless discussing the order of the TV channels. Just add the ones you want to watch regularly to favourites and you have everything you need in one section of the guide.

Isn't the 'new logo' simply to promote the Golden Ticket to Monty Python Live??

Actually I don't either, Richard, but it is one way of dealing with the pernickety requirements that some of us have.

Agree with you. I quite like seeing the odd episode of these shows but not everyday or back to back. Now `Fools And Horses`....could watch all day long!

Agreed, the new GOLD logo is now on the mini EPG for TiVo boxes when you press the info button

I use the favourites function a bit, although as "favourites" and "HD Channels" are very similar on my setup, perhaps it's not worth it.
I noticed Sky 1 had moved yesterday as I got home and hit 122, only for it to be no longer Sky 1 HD. I'll get used to the changes, I was with Sky for a few years (Sorry) until May so had to get used to a massive EPG shift & TiVo anyway.

How are you finding the change over?
I left Sky a few years ago and haven't looked back since
I always seem to use the EPG guide and HD filter when searching channels on TIVO, saves remembering the numbers

I used to be an ntl, then VM customer until 2011 when I moved to an area 50mtrs from cable (So close enough to get mail saying to join VM, far enough away for it to be a no go).
I got used to Sky, but missed VM, especially as their TV service was always excellent. Now I'm back on VM, and using TiVO I must say I enjoy it a lot more. As you say, I haven't looked back either really. The clever stuff TiVo does (& Netflix etc on the box itself) is a godsend.
Edit: Need to update my profile a bit, as it shows 20meg, which back a few years ago was a high tier!

Ah, F1, the only thing that might tempt me into getting the Sky Sports channels back (I had them on Sky because of it), but sadly wasn't in HD until now.
Decisions decisions...
