Get a tech out first to get your existing connection fixed!

If you upgrade to 50 Mbps you will automatically get a tech visit, once there get him to tweak your levels at the cabinet.
Fingers crossed it will sort your issues dude

Only reason I'm asking is, I would move back to VM if they sort the local issues out.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
I've got a tech coming out on Thursday to install my new 50mb service. Hoopefully things improve, if not then I have 28 days to cancel. It possibly cant get any worse than that lol.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
My graph is looking at its best since I got it. Of course this is probably something to do with the area fault an hour ago that forced me to reboot the CPE after 20 minutes of no service.
As people come back online no doubt it'll degrade but in the interim..
--- 194.168.4.100 ping statistics ---
15 packets transmitted, 15 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 7.4/8.6/11.4 ms
--- www.bbc.net.uk ping statistics ---
15 packets transmitted, 15 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 10.4/13.6/29.3 ms

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
mine has calmed down again now, when I first put back the in the vmng300 latency didnt much improve (on the graph, other tests were improved) over the superhub but after a short time it improved again although I reckon my jitter is a bit higher than 1-2 weeks ago. Probably in line with user growth. From, what I know my area no longer has a 8 week backlog for installs so demand has calmed down a bit although still 3 week wait.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
20MB Ambit256:
My connection improved drastically over the past few days.
50MB Superhub installed today:
I know my power levels are extremely high on my new 50MB connection which I had installed today but the tech never even bothered to check the power levels
I rang virgin up a few minutes ago only to be told that there's an area fault and that virgin can't send out a tech to sort my power levels because of an on going area fault. The area fault in it self started on the 9th of this month, its been almost 2 weeks and still I can't get a tech out. Can i contact someone other than tech support to sort my problems out?
My speeds are fine, I'm happy with that, its the disconnections and erratic pings which are annoying!

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
There is such variation in the quality of users graphs, VM don't do well with latency tbh

Nah,,,, Once you've set up the TBB ping monitor it pings your external IP address, in other words it pings your router not your PC, so feel free to shut down your browser
