It's a quick Photoshop stitch up and the contrast between snow and sky was very difficult to manage, but you get the idea. OK, so the snow line is at about 400 metres (the top of that hill is about 650m) but hey, winter's not far off after all.
The bizarre thing is, thanks to that global warming thingy, our mild autumn has seen to it that all the shrubs and most of the trees (all except the silver birches, which you can see looking naked and a bit purple in the middle distance) are only just dropping their leaves.
Snow and leaves in the same shot! And I've just put more coal on the fire.

Just more trees actually ... and the neighbour's driveway. Camp Cable ... that's an idea though. Anyone fancy the next CF meet at Loch Lomond with songs round a campfire?

Re: Here comes the snow
Snow is alright but I'm one of the few people who can get to work, no matter what. So when everyone else is tucked up in bed, supposedly snowed in, I'm working like a madman to compensate for being short-staffed

Which is odd as I'd like to live somewhere that has more snow than the pathetic amount we get these days. I'd like to live somewhere like Sweden or Canada one day.
