I haven't had a peep from VM since I originally signed the pre-reg for TiVo. I got the acknowledgement email and nothing else - no raffle email, not the current one going round, nada, zip, zero. I entered the raffle anyway by following a link on here (the one people got from the popup on their screens - which I didn't get either), and did get a 'thank you' email from that.
I'm slightly disappointed with the lack of communication considering the fact others are getting some, but I will sit patiently and wait to hear. If I don't get an email with the info that other pre-reg's get then I'll get in touch and try to order one and send them the email from my pre-reg as proof that I did. But beyond that it'll get here when it gets here.
I'm excited about getting one, but I think I've survived all these years without one, I can certainly survive a bit longer. Yes I have TiVo fever, but I'm not letting it interfere with COMMON SENSE.
I don't believe VM has treated anyone badly, though I do believe they haven't handled the communication on this in the best way. So what - Stuff happens. It's a TV box for goodness sake - it's not the end of the world, it's not life or death.
Get over yourselves (this is not aimed at the quoted poster, but many on the thread in general). Yes, be disappointed, be frustrated - those are all natural, but some of the sentiment on this thread is so OTT in proportion to the fact it's a TV BOX.
Geesh - think some people need a shift in perspective here.
(VIP50, no TiVo, No Raffle win, no email communication, and still alive and well and haven't imploded yet)

Re: TiVo
savvychels puts it very well, I hope Virgin can learn from this roll out and improve the way they roll out future products. Am happy to wait, doesn't stop it from being a bit annoying though, kind of the same category as the train being slightly late.
I never "lifetimed" my S1 as I was quite happy to pay £10 a month for the service, it was that good.
BTW if anyone here ever needs to call me in my professional capacity, I am only too happy to help and I especially favour developmental feedback on how I can improve.

Re: TiVo
I pre-registered and also entered the raffle, not heard anything at all, no email or phone calls. Not that fussed though, off to the Ideal Home Show tomorrow to see the beast in action.

Re: TiVo
Thanks for registering to be in the running to get one of 1000 TiVo boxes, to enjoy on us for a year.
As much as we’d have loved you to win one, sadly you weren’t successful in securing a free TiVo box in our prize draw.
If you’d like to upgrade to our supercharged TV service, just sit tight. We're launching in April so we’ll be in touch in the coming weeks with an exclusive offer, just for our customers.
And in the meantime, you can take another look at what our TiVo service can do for you.
The Virgin Media team.
If you think Im paying for one when others didnt have to you have another thing coming. I'l wait.
Such a shame that no provider in the UK cares about each and every customer.

God, what is it with the huge space?
Does nobody at VM know netiquette? Wasting valuable screen space is a big no no, especially for notebook or netbook users.

Seriously?? The space is to hide the punchline. That is standard internet humour.

Re: TiVo
Still no red button?
If they can't get it out soon, a lot of F1 fans will be miffed. Why dont VM just add the interactive streams to the epg, in the 900 range, until it is sorted? Freeview has its interactive stuff exposed like this and it works well for quickly checking back and forth without having to wait for the slow menu system.

Probably not - there's a thread about the redesign/relaunch....
