Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
It was a REAL busy day at work today so I got to see three films today (And a panto)
Harry potter 3 - 6/10 (Too much missing compared to the book)
King Arthur - 7/10 (Not too bad - I found it better than...)
Troy - (5/10) (Which I thought was a bit average)
Oh and I watched the new Sindarella from Jim Davidson - 8/10 (Quite rude, but it was funny in parts)

Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
Went to see blade trinity yesterday and I have to say I was dissapointed, I went to see the film with low expectations and was still let down.
Blade was more of a secondary character, they spent far too much time introducing people who where only going to be in the film for 20minutes, too much time with dramatic slow motion bits wich just draged on too long (As though they didnt have enough material to make the film so they stretched out bits).
I also found the product placement to be a little too shameless and obvious, it was almost painful to watch some of it.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
Went to see Oceans 12 last week and it is like the last film, full of well known actors including the lovely Catherine Zeta Jones who looks quite nice in this, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, George Clooney, etc.
If you are after a criminal plot that all serious, then this won't be your kind of thing, but if you enjoyed the last one and like a bit of comedy stuck in to it here and there, then you'l like it.
Its a good film.

Resident Evil: Apocolypse
Was alright, one of them films that you see when you can't be arsed to do anything (Actually, thats the case with most films isn't it?). It was more of an action film rather than a horror (Which was the case in the old film, but that was simply bad). Again, it was alright but not groundbreaking. Me says 6/10

Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
lately i have seen:
Collateral
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0369339/
- great start lost the plot towards the end. Tom makes a good bad guy and jamie foxx (who i had never heard of) was superb, look out for him in the Ray Charles film out soon.
6/10
I also saw:
without a paddle -
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364751/
silly silly silly but some funny parts.
5/10
Also i saw:
Cellular
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0337921/
This film is a bit like phonebooth (same writter i think) but its well done, a random plot but its good fun watching the guy run around basically
Quote:
a young man receives an emergency phone call on his cell phone from an older woman. The catch? The woman claims to have been kidnapped; and the kidnappers have targeted her husband and child next.
|
So he has to run round helping her. The film also has the excellent William H. Macy in it but he dosnt have the biggest role.
7/10
I also saw:
The grudge
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0391198/
Plot:
Quote:
An American nurse living and working in Tokyo is exposed to a mysterious supernatural curse, one that locks a person in a powerful rage before claiming their life and spreading to another victim.
|
Now this one had buffy in it and some scarey 6th sence like "jump" moments basically lots of silence then something scarey and a load bit of music i didnt really understand what was going on BUT beware small oriental kids who turn into cats... Like "The Ring" it got a US remake:
This is the TV Serie that is the start of Ju-On:
GakkÃÃ*’´ no kaidan G (1998) http://us.imdb.com/Title?0330312
Ju-On (2000) - TV Movie http://us.imdb.com/Title?0330500
Ju-On 2 (2000)- TV Movie http://us.imdb.com/Title?0330501
Ju-On The Grudge (2003)- Movie http://us.imdb.com/Title?0364385
Ju-On The Grudge 2 (2003)- Movie http://us.imdb.com/Title?0367913
The Grudge (2004)- U.S. Remake http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0391198
As always the orginal is far better.
5/10
I also saw:
Jonathan Demme - The Manchurian Candidate (2004)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368008/
Quote:
Jonathan Demme directed this updated remake of John Frankenheimer's 1962 cult favorite The Manchurian Candidate, a pioneering examination of political conspiracy and psychological reconditioning. Major Bennett Marco (Denzel Washington) and Sergeant Raymond Shaw (Liev Schreiber) are two soldiers who served in the same company during Operation Desert Storm, but their paths following their tours of duty have been very different. Shaw, the son of powerful congresswoman Eleanor Shaw (Meryl Streep), has used his reputation as a war hero to quickly scale the ladder of American politics, and witht he help of his mother earns the Vice Presidential nomination. Marco, on the other hand, has been troubled with mental illness, and is convinced that something strange happened to him and his compatriots during the war. As Marco struggles to find the truth behind his nightmares and emotional torment, he unearths some disturbing facts about how his mind and body have been reworked by shadowy forces, as well as those of his fellow soldiers ††including Raymond Shaw. Featuring a stellar supporting cast (including Jon Voight, Miguel Ferrer, Ted Levine, and Dean Stockwell), The Manchurian Candidate credits George Axelrod's screenplay for the 1962 film as its source, as opposed to Richard Condon's 1959 novel from which Axelrod adapted his script. ††Mark Deming

The Incredibles!!!!
Just seen it - and I was surprised - I thought it was going to be rubbish but it was quite amusing - I might even get it when it comes out on DVD (for the kiddies of course)

Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
Team America: World Police
Really funny!!
Theres a lot of swearing, but its a 15 after all, and some "interesting" scenes!
Sometimes some scenes just get slightly boring, but there isnt many of them, but loads of great parts espcially the start!!
Some great songs aswell! "America, **** Yeah!"
Good to watch, probabbly could rewatch it, only one scene which isnt that funny due to world events, but they made it before it happened so to be expected, overall though i would say 8/10!

A bit hit & miss, but still pretty damn hilarious overall. Well worth watching
xXx
I actually found this quite enjoyable. Stupid, but enjoyable. More fun than the last Bond movie, anyway.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw...
Dodgeball .. Apart from a few squirm inducing moments from Ben Stiller it was pretty tedious, a 4 out of 10
Shaun of the Dead .. Boring! 2/10
I-Robot - Most enjoyable, slightly more plot than I expected, not much more mind. 7/10
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - as someone mentioned, missing a load of content from the book, didn't bother watching the end. 5/10
