Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades
Haha I might have been a bit premature earlier on. No matter how many speed tests I do, they all are in the range of 168, which is a strange number.
How do you find out on the superhub what the maximum downstream is, I`ve forgotten where its located?

I phoned and was told I'd need the Superhub 2 for 150mbit. Oh well, it's only a week wait.

I can update to 200mb but want to downgrade to 150mb and pocket the cash. I wont notice the difference to justify it.

Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades
I can do the upgrade now, but as we have a Superhub 1 we need an "engineer" to come out and swap the Superhub.
That's really inconvenient, and I'm part of the new Hardware trial so I'm hoping that this problem will just go away...

If you've been advised you need new kit, then you need new kit.

Whelp, says mine's available right now, clicked through the hoops.
Disappointed about the lack of upload increase. BT really need to start advertising their 20mbps upload more.

Be aware, BT upload is not always 20. VDSL is very dependant on distance from the nearest fibre cab. I don't get much more than 14/15, so not much better than 12 from Virgin ......

True, I can see the local BT Infinity cabinet from my front door though. I'd be getting the 20 up if I switched.

Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades
I live in an area that's had high utilisation for a year now (typically 1.5 to 12Mbps from my 152Mbps connection at peak times). Somehow the speed upgrade is available now. Congestion issues are about to get a whole lot worse for me...
