One of my sisters friends works for one ont the big banks in London, and they have been told that they may be issued with access codes to there work stations from home, if there is a country wide closure of businesses should the government raise the level.

If that happens we can ask the government more about why they didn't bother screening people entering the country on flights from Mexico.
They need to be told that it could have been prevented if they just took it seriously enough.

Re: Pandemic (Swine) Flu
If they are not screening people coming back from mexico doesn't that say something about how concerned the authorities really are about all this. Personally as i have said while bad for mexico i think the rest of the world needs to get back to reality and stop fixating on something that so far has done nothing here.

Re: Pandemic (Swine) Flu
This whole story needs to be brought into the correct context.
There are approximately 110,000,000 people living in Mexico and only 125 death (last I heard) that in the grand scheme of things is nothing.
I would only be worried if the numbers start to rise massively, and I mean hundreds of thousands in more than one country.

Re: Pandemic (Swine) Flu
Well I'd like to make a plea for all those ordinary, hard working and long suffering viruses out there who're quite unfairly coming under scrutiny now and having their daily lives disrupted for no good reason. It's outrageous and I reckon it's about time they were offered protection under the discrimination laws....
Oh and just to show how well parts of the NHS are prepared we have this. Perhaps those nice people at NHS direct haven't read that handy booklet yet....

You have more chances of winning every lottery every draw for a year, than you have of coming in contact with this swine fever.

Well I just want to let you know that I am very disappointed, and that you taking it seriously as from tomorrow and not before is very reassuring to all of us. but at least you can learn and learn some more from these mistakes to be ready for the next one. the one after the next one after the next one

That has to be one of the most rediculas statements in this thread.
The odds of getting 6 numbers is 1 in 14 million. 5 people I believe have the disease in the uk and that number will increase. 60 million people in the UK so thats odds of 1 in 12 million already better odds than 6 numbers lol

So you'd only be concerned if there were about 250,000 people in the UK had it? is that already dead, or dying?
It has the potential to kill millions worldwide.
