keep it! I live on the south coast of England for a damned good reason and real lack of snow is that reason.

I wouldn't get too woried just yet. I think I'm the most northerly member of CF, so my experience is unlikely to be shared by the whole UK ... yet.

I've got a full tank of SVO in my car that I can't burn until I've put the engine back together fully, I need a heatwave!

Re: Here comes the snow
Raining a lot here in cockney-land
Wish I have some snow though. I should be spending winter here for the first time in 8 years (normally go to Florida as the observant will know), so it will be nice to have some snow for a change.

It's a quick Photoshop stitch up and the contrast between snow and sky was very difficult to manage, but you get the idea. OK, so the snow line is at about 400 metres (the top of that hill is about 650m) but hey, winter's not far off after all.
The bizarre thing is, thanks to that global warming thingy, our mild autumn has seen to it that all the shrubs and most of the trees (all except the silver birches, which you can see looking naked and a bit purple in the middle distance) are only just dropping their leaves.
Snow and leaves in the same shot! And I've just put more coal on the fire.

Do you have a spare room ? the view from my window is nothing like that.....sigh

Re: Here comes the snow
Chris that is a beautiful view I have always wanted to live out in the countryside, I have to make do with living on the edge of it.
