Speak for yourself. I have a meeting with Amnesty International first thing in the morning.
Recording 3 programmes while watching another recording is a fundamental, basic, human right which VM are denying us.

You watch, the email will read something like this:
Dear Sir,
TIVO IS ALMOST HERE!
The first available installation date for your area is November 20th. Click here to confirm your order and please have your credit/debit card ready.

Re: TiVo
It all depends upon your perspective as to if people feel hard done by VM.
Im with fixerman on this
Yes its been poorly communicated but they never in a million years have had the resources to meet the expectations of everyone that they built upon.
Again they have completly naffed off people who they really need.
Just because peeps dont post alot or dont agree with others dont mean they have not got the right to state that they are naffed off
Im with you man

Re: TiVo
Apparently an E-Mail is going to be sent out on Sunday 20th March, don't know if there is any truth in that. Virgin Media's last e-mail did say we will be in touch again towards the end of March so it could be true.

With my luck, mine will read as:
Dear Sir,
TIVO IS HERE!
But first......we've had trouble withdrawing funds from your account. Please contact Customer Services in order to pay your bill (and while you're at it, ask them just how many programmes they recorded while watching a recording!)

Only 3 tuners will be activated at first for that one, while the TiVo development team will be saying " WTF?!?! How many tuners do those crazy Virgin Brits need??!!"

We had three things recording last night whilst watching a 4th recorded programme. All three recordings were HD and the recorded programme we were watching was HD. Not the slightest hiccup which is good!
It's cool having three red lights on the front of the box though. I'm glad they decided to allow us to record three things at once

Think Digital Fanatic said they would be sent out by the end of the month, don't think he mentioned the 20th though I could be wrong - and I'm not suggesting that's what you said.
Also wonder if the e-mails will be staggered to avoid eveyone trying to book their appointment at the same time, but then I can see people complaining they had to wait again.

The 20th is the closing date for "winners" emails not pre-reg.

I think DF said that the emails will go out in batches, and their was much whaling and gnashing of teeth.
Hopefully they will go in order otherwise we may have another common uprising on our hands!

Re: TiVo
Tried searching but didn't find anything, had Tivo installed Wednesday and was a little disconcerted to find that unlike the S1 you can't specifically save to DVD. Does anyone know if, when the Tivo is attached to the TV by HDMI, it also plays back on the SCART socket, if so I can attach my recorder to that and just replay individual programmes that I wish to archive with the TV switched off. I could experiment I know but don't want to plug things in and out only to find it doesn't, idle I know, but the old knees ain't so flexible any more.
