No Longhorn or skinning program for me...just a patched uxtheme.dll and the Royal Four theme.

And Linda is lovely, isn't she? When I was a kid I was in love with her and Maria Whittaker. Ahh, memories.

Basically, the uxtheme.dll is responsible for the skins in XP. And some clever sausage patched this file to allow the use of third-party themes with no skinning programs needed.

Once upon a time it had to be installed manually via the command line but it didn't take long for someone to whip up a script which did all the work for you, like so.

(The linked version is for SP2 btw)

Ignore the fact that theres no background lol, been searching for a way to skin 64 bit windows found how and found this,Anyone come up with a background to go with it????
