To be honest I did feel sorry for the Italian goal scorer, his face when he realised his goal counted for nothing was a picture. On balance Italy did not play well enough and the two best teams in the group qualified. seems to say alot about the Italians that their first thought isn't we didn't play well enough and don't deserve to go through but that it must be a fix.. I watched the Denmark v Sweden game ( i hate David Pleat so had no choice) and there was no way that game was fixed..

Looking at Denmark they about the only team so far to perform in all 3 games and could go far.

They struggled to beat Bulgaria 2-1, Sweden won 5-0 and Denmark 2-0 against Bulgaria, so statistically they "are the weakest link, Arrivederci"

all the big teams to have gone out deserved to cos they have been boringly negative in their approach. Just because they are Spain, Italy and Germany, they just can't expect to turn up and stroll through.

Thing is, Baros is there main man to me anyway.. He's shredded germany's defence apart. I think our defence should be able to handle him though, considering the experiance we've had with him.

well i'm sure we all remember 66 when we played Portugal. 2 goals from Charlton to get us into the final. One a typical screamer from the edge of the 18 yard box. I remember it like yesterday and i wasn't even born til 78

Got my replica white cotton 66 short with a 9 on the back all ready for the game in honor of that game.. I'm even loosing my hair al la Bobby as well !!!

Hope the commentators keep their gobs shut about 66 and the next rounds and just concentrate on the football and not say any jinx like sentences.... in fact hope they just shut up full stop.
