I pay £80 to VM just now and that is only a 1TB TiVo and full TV WITHOUT sports and movies with 150MB BB and anytime landline calls.
Sky Deal is so much more bang for the buck. Aside from the loss of BB speed.

Re: More price rises
It seems like VM are getting incredibly greedy lately. The time between price rises is getting less and less it seems, they are by no means small increases either.

Don't blame you Stephen, that's a great deal with Sky.
Not sure what Virgin's strategy is now as these constant price rises are just going to increase their churn rates. And with the arrival of BT Infinity (or Sky Fibre, etc) then people have a real alternative to VM as they've lost their USP now that fibre BB is more widely available. VM still win the willy waving with top headline speeds but unless you are a heavy downloader or have a large family with multiple devices then most households will find the BT/Sky/etc fibre speeds more than adequate for their needs.

Its now just about talking the wife round to it.
Should be simple though as its a fiver less than we are paying VM but getting so much more. Extra box, sports and movies and all for only £30 install. New line and free fibre activation! Now on a 12 month contract too.
Be stupid not to.

I've always been lucky with Quidco when signing up to things online , I'm sure you can get cashback when signing up for Sky through Quidco.

Good luck with that mate! Ha ha!
Also a great deal available on Martin Lewis' MSE website ( http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/sho...heap-cable#sky) for anyone happy to take a Sky+HD box with full package for £29 per month and option for free ADSL broadband for 12 months. You just have to pay £6 extra for HD sport and obviously line rental if you take broadband.
Virgin Media could be in for a bruising come Oct/Nov with them putting prices up whilst Sky are churning out the offers for new customers!

Apologies, missed that on a quick scan through but hopefully the multiple links will help some of our friends here on CF. Thanks also for pointing out its not just Sky+HD too, presumably it's the usual £12 extra for Sky Q?
Sky Q is next on the cards for me now you can carry over discounts.

With the weakness of the £, the US investors are probably demanding price increases to steady their income?

The package I quoted a price for was using the link. 60% off Sky Q for 12 months.

I just signed up to Sky for Sky Q 2TB boxset package, Sky Q mini box, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports, Sky Fibre Unlimited and 12 month contract - £68 a month - 10 quid setup
I was told that this price increase is next years brought forward... but is it

You can select sky Q box too

How did you get this deal? I can't see where you can select the sky Q box?

Re: More price rises
Follwowed the link, got a code, started my order and then went to personalise the order more. Changed to Sky Q and also landline and BB, added sports & Movies and HD sports pack to get it all.

Re: More price rises
There seems to be a glitch on the Sky website where non-SkyQ offers are being applied to SkyQ orders. Whether they'll honour it questionable. Make sure you take screenshots if placing an order.
It's the "personalise order" step that is causing the glitch. In there you will see an option to Add HD Sports too which should be included so you know something is messed-up.
SkyQ is an 18m contract. The telephone and broadband parts will be the 12m contracted products.
