The only time l go to football matches is when with my family come down here and basically you are treated like cattle going to market l always find and to me that's a big turn off personally.

Stick to non-league Den, far more passion and value for money. You can have a drink, some soggy chips and nice chat with the other supporter (if they turn up). Talking of which don't miss 'Rovers' on Sky1, its very true to non - league life.

I think we should boycott the World Cup in Russia 2018, unless the get stripped of it.

There is no chance of them being stripped of the World Cup in my opinion as money and influence talk in the corrupt organizations of FIFA and UEFA.

Re: England might get kicked off Europe sooner than we think
Speaking to a fellow Liverpool fan today he was adamant that if it wasn't for the English fans fighting the Russians a lot more English would have been seriously injured, he took his son for his first football match and because of what happened his last. Seems roving gangs of Russians were walking around attacking anyone they felt like including women and children disgusting behaviour and yeah to be honest right now I'd rather the FA pulled England out of the world cup as FIFA have lined their pockets too much to pull it. As far as the French police there are a lot of questions for them to answer as they seem to have been absent during much of the violence only showing up after things had got out of control and not listening to what people were trying to tell them.
Unlike other occasions this time it seems as though the England fans were just trying to defend fellow fans from a group of thugs who had no interest in football beyond providing them with many victims. Maybe before people spout off they should take the time to find out about what actually happened. Unless of course there are people here who seeing women and children being pushed to the ground and stamped on would have ignored it, as I said I'd have piled right in on any **** doing that and damn the consequences and it seems many other fans felt the same.

Re: England might get kicked off Europe sooner than we think
To be totally honest with you. I am getting fed up to the back teeth with people saying its English fans causing the problem.
I was a football fan when the hooligan element was about. in the 70s and 80's when it was really bad. Then several years ago Spurs were playing a European game at White Hart Lane. I think we were playing a Turkish side, and then suddenly in the next section, some bright spark decides to bring out a flag of a Nation that is hated by Turkey. This started mayhem - and this is t Tottenham.
I don't care what anyone says that when you play abroad, you will get thugs from Germany, France and Holland, that will bring Hard fans intent on causing aggro.
Several weeks ago, the media picked up leaflets saying that England fans were NOT SAFE in France, and bingo we have the Russians, who are beating English fans to bits.
English fans always get blamed for fighting, and yet, the Russian fans - who have been PRAISED by the own football association for massive brawls against ENGLISH FANS.
We already have One Fan dead, when he fell off a walkway - and the local police say it was drink. Another fan with brain damaged after being attacked by Russian fans.
And today we hear that an ENGLISH fan was hit with iron bars.
English fans have a right to defend themselves, against thugs - and yet WE get blamed for causing it.
Yesterday, we say RUSSIAN fans and Local fans go into a market place and literally wreck a restaurant full of ENGLISH fans, and other customers.
And what happened, the Russian fans get away, and bingo ENGLISH fans get arrested. And get prison sentences.
And one father has stated that he will fight to clear his son, for what he claims is miscarriage of justice.
So, before members jump on the bandwagon and say - Its all about English fans, causing the problem. Its not.
And as for England being thrown out, well it would be a blessing. On the performance the other day.
Hodgson needs his head examined - Kane taking corners, Vardy on the bench ? and then we have in the papers ' what is Hodgson doing' Taking Rooney off.
I think Hodgson needs a new job. And its not managing England

Re: England might get kicked off Europe sooner than we think
Even the French authorities have blamed a gang of around 150 organised Russian thugs for most of the serious trouble but there are still those amongst us who just love to tar all the English with the same brush. I don't know why they feel the need to do it. It's quite bizarre.

Yep in the scheme of things its certainly not very important compared to far more important things in our life like our family and other things.

I've picked it up, its not a massively great comedy but its very watchable and likeable at times. Just a shame its 30 minutes a week and not an hour.

Russia given suspended disqualification.
In all likelyhood we'll see that enforced after their match tomorrow. Not that it'll mean much if they fail to win anyway.

Re: England might get kicked off Europe sooner than we think
Well the way it is going a Russian Coach was stopped full of thugs today. They will be sent home on Thursday
And they l assume England will be home just after. As they have to beat Wales. And sadly, l cannot see that happen. According to Media today, Vardy could be on the bench again.
Did anyone read the article from Joe Barton today. He was very critical of Hodgson today, and how he was selecting his team.
