I think you are allowed to cancel without penalty within 28 days of you being notified of any price rises, i'm not 100% about that though so get it confirmed first.

Re: £3 TV increase but BT Sport Europe is "free"

I detest sport so much that it is the main deciding factor NOT to subscribe to Sky.

And now VM are going the "sport for all" path, and making all of us pay for it?

Make sport a subscription-only add-on VM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: £3 TV increase but BT Sport Europe is "free"

When the February increase was coming up I downgraded to M TV, 50 broadband and weekend calls but retaining TiVo. Now pay 34 pounds per month, less than half the previous bill and miss very little from the channels not now available

Or, more precisely, Sky won't allow VM access at the price VM is prepared to pay.

It isn't true to say that Sky won't let anyone else have it. If that was true, I wouldn't be able to access it on my Roku.

Re: £3 TV increase but BT Sport Europe is "free"

Just to throw my hat into the ring. When the whole 'ESPN closed and BT wasn't confirmed on Virgin' thing happened, I cancelled all services (not just TV) in contract due to this and the lady at VM confirmed this was ok.

I downgraded my tv package today. VM remarked they have started to get a "few" calls about the price rise.

then please tell me why has only sky got it as we know sky own now tv that only reason it there

and why to sky keep insisting that why people join sky for SA even though the viewing figure disprove that as vast majority of sky customers don't watch it and why they mention SA in every tv ad that's on apart from sports or movie only ads because they wont let anyone have it at all that's why

I hope it was at least the 50% off offer that's a permanent fixture for people switching from VM.

Yeah they gave me full package including hd for £25 a month fixed for 12 months on a 12. Month contract happy with that

Been with virgin / telewest for a good few year but this last increase just stretched my loyalty a bit too much

Same as the one i'm on. Just gotta remember to cancel after 11 months because no way am i paying £75, i'd stretch to the 50% (£38) for the same package for the 12 months after that but i wouldn't pay any more.

It is the Complete Package with Sports and Movies, all in HD, too good an offer to turn down.

Me too, great offer. Hope your installation went as well as mine John, I'm very impressed so far and not missing hardly anything about TiVo.
