tech guy just change to 144 channel 9 on 2.4Ghz wifi and turn off 5Ghz as he say it not needed. But 2.4Ghz only getting 42Mbps on wifi on iphone/ipad. I try 5Ghz but still the same 42Mbps no real difference.
What are your setting gasdfdsaq on both 300+450?
Why on earth is 5ghz "not needed"? That has to be the most braindead thing I've heard a VM tech say yet.
Still getting back on point, 42Mbit would be about right if your devices are connected via a single spatial stream at 20Mhz. I don't know enough about Apple stuff to comment on that.
BTW my router in this case is the Airport Extreme which doesn't support 40 MHz for 2.4 GHz.
That would be my point. The router hardware *does* support it, Apple just won't allow you to turn it on. Similarly even if you did turn it on, your devices would still have it disabled. Last iPhone I came across had it permadisabled even on 5Ghz though newer ones seemingly don't.
I have an ipad and my android phone and my apple tv all pick it up. my problem right now is that i cant connect to my vpn on ipad over the connection, i can on my mobile connection if i tether it to my ipad.
