I think they are keen to get him out of the country asap given the support protests and rather grim - and I suspect accurate - assessment by Paddy Ashdown.

Not really I just read yours in order to know how someone with a detrimental effect on their cognitive abilities reacts to people who have opposing views to yourself, and it makes for an amusing read especially when you change tack in order to give an answer.

You do realize that "statement" makes absolutely no grammatical sense whatsoever.

As stated earlier, clearly your powers of comprehension, both written and cognitive, are disjointed. Even when a concise, and indeed courteous, explanation has been afforded to you you still cannot grasp basic english or see the patently obvious flaws in your supposed "logic".

I'm not sure at all how you can assert that I have changed tack during the course of this thread, though I suspect it's probably down to another failure on your part to understand something correctly - like your earlier lie that I "can never agree with anyone". Perhaps you'd like to share the particular instance with me where you think I have changed tack in this discussion and I can clear the issue up for you?

Everyone here can see which of us is having difficuly in answering questions or refuting ill founded assertions and clearly it isn't me.

Ironic as it may seem - on the matter of having difficulties in giving answers you might want to avail of your own advice earlier and spend some time looking in a mirror.

If you'd like to have a discussion on the merits, or otherwise, of your proposed "justice" for Mladic then I'm more than happy to engage you but if you are intent on continuing to make a fool of yourself by resolutely avoiding the questions posed to you in relation to same then I'm afraid I'm not interested.

Re: Ratko Mladic war criminal.

War criminals and terrorists should be locked up in solitary confinement. They are nothing more than cowards and murderess and have no place in a civilised society.

On this forum people have said they are for or against the death sentence that's fine and is there choice.

When people have then posted lets lock them up and throw away the key there have been those that say you cannot do that.

There has in the past been those that say you cannot put them in solitary confinement as a punishment.

So what do we do with those found guilty of the worst crimes against humanity if there are those who would have us do nothing in case it breaks the many rules used as a get out of jail card.

People need to remember that this is a forum and and place to express views and not somewhere that another poster can swap and change their views for the sake of an argument and they really need to get over themselves and smell the coffee.

I know that Sirius has similar views to myself about these types of people and if we post our thoughts about how these people should be treated then so be it as that is our choice and made with our own free will after reading about these crimes and also seeing the images on our television screens.

We are not in a totalitarian state and therefore are able to air our views on forums such as this one without any real issues apart from people who change their views with the wind in order to provoke an argument.

Nobody has suggested that where someone is found guilty of war crimes that they shouldn't be punished - that is a given.

I was merely pointing out - as you have now changed tack and acknowledged - that certain punishments which might be your and others preferred outcome in the event that he is convicted are not an option in the real world.

I invite you again to highlight where I have swopped and changed my view in this thread or on this subject.

That aside I'll read and comment on posts where I see fit thank you.

You punish & treat them as the law allows you to - you do not descend to their level of feral inhumanity. That is what makes law abiding, decent citizens "better" than criminals in the eyes of society.

Nobody, and certainly not I, has said that nothing should be done to people found guilty of such crimes.

Re: Ratko Mladic war criminal.

I'm with Mr Angry on this one.We cannot treat Ratko Mladic as he treated others because then we would be no better than him and his ilk.

International courts HAVE to be more than mere vigilantes and the most supreme court of Human rights has to have much higher ethics than any other because we are NOT a completely lawless world where the law of the old wild west rules should have sway.

actually this man is considered a hero to many of his country men ,so you must accept that not every one shares your views .

Opinion polls
According to the March 2009 poll of the NGO Strategic Marketing for the television station B92, 14.29% of Serbia's citizens would reveal information that would lead to his arrest in exchange for €1 million, 20.57% do not have a determined attitude, and 65.14% would not divulge information for one million Euros (the poll was conducted when the United States embassy issued a reward of 1.3 million Euros for any information on Ratko Mladić).[33] However, it has been noted that the formulation of the question may have been a problem, as the polling samples which opted "No" included also those who would immediately report Mladić without payment, believing that payment in this case is immoral. Although preceding reports indicated that 47% supported the extradition, it is now apparent that most of the population is against it.[34]
According to a poll conducted by the National Committee for Cooperation with the ICTY, 78 percent of those polled would not report Mladić to the authorities, 34 percent said they would approve of Mladić's arrest, while 40 percent believe he is a hero.[35]

Serbian President Boris Tadic has said the investigation into ex-Bosnian Serb army chief Ratko Mladic will be extended to anyone thought to have helped him avoid arrest for 16 years.
Mr Tadic told the BBC anyone who protected him would be prosecuted.
Not everyone thinks he is a hero..

Quote:
Mr Tadic said the investigations would look at any help given to Gen Mladic by members of the Serbian armed forces or police, adding that he had been able to count on the support of what he termed "some people in the state system" over the years.
"In the next few days, we'll have a completed picture of what happened in the past two-and-a-half years, even more, in the past 16 years," he said. "And, for us, that is going to be very, very important."
