Including, I may add, the western idea of sexual equality. IIRC, and I hope someone will try hard to proove me wrong. One Imam was of the opinion that no matter how intelligent, well educated and how good a job a woman had. She would never be equal to a man, as she still menstrates.... As I said elsewhere, religion verges on delusion.

Wasn't the dispatches program recorded over three years ago now? I was under the impression these pillocks were "asked" to leave the mosque and were replaced with imans who lived in the 21st century.
If not hopefully it won't be long before these ignorant, generally old men who can't or won't integrate into western culture wither on the vine, at least then the younger imans who will follow will have been born and brought up in Britain and hopefully have a more enlightened outlook.

I guess that program was aired 2 - 3 years ago, so you are in the ballpark. Unfortunately you mis-remember the maniacs, spouting their deluded crap on film. The imam I refered to previously was young (mid to late 30's I'd guess), and trained in a university in Saudi Arabia in their horrible Wahhabi tradition....

I love it when people present themselves as bastions of morality and start wagging their fingers at others over immoral sex. It's so weak.
Religion is a form of government and sexual morality is often used to ply influence into peoples lives.

Looks like the cleric was right...

Launched by the 22-year-old Indiana student last week, Boobquake was a response to claims by Iranian cleric Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi that women "who do not dress modestly" lead men astray, spread adultery and thereby increase earthquakes.
Some might say it was inevitable that, just as women worldwide were preparing to show off their assets, an actual earthquake would occur in some corner of the globe…. which it did, in Taiwan.

Ahhhhh.... Fox News, a bastion of truth and journalistic integrity....
Though I did find this rather funny....
Quote:
"The public expects us to act firmly and swiftly if we see any social misbehavior by women, and men, who defy our Islamic values," Brigadier Hossien Sajedinia said.
"In some areas of north Tehran we can see many suntanned women and young girls who look like walking mannequins," he continued. "We are not going to tolerate this situation and will first warn those found in this manner and then arrest and imprison them."

To be followed up by rape in prison, as is alleged to have happened to female democracy protestors ?
