Re: Places to go
Knowsley is closer - about 3hrs less drive. It's my mate's car so I'm not too worried about fixtures

You've got to be careful - you might lose parts of the car, and you and the driver will feel threatened; it might be ok when you get to the safari park, though.

- best I managed was what is now Nairobi National Park, I was there way back in 1964, due to my dad being based in Kenya with the RAF.

Re: Places to go
I was thinking maybe take in Brimham Rocks and Stump Cross. Also the lakes again, but my mate was pretty tired last time, so may have to stop somewhere, which complicates things People think he's my dad or my boyfriend. I can't decide which is worse Bolton Abbey sounds good - and Aysgarth, maybe. And the safari park. I've promised him new wipers if the ones we have are removed

I'm envious - I've never been there. Fresh air and quiet and scenery. Sounds good.

Ahem! I live on the outskirts of Knowsley Safari Park and its a great day out If you value your car though, don't go through the monkey enclosure

Re: Places to go
Keswick is a good place, some good sporting activities and it's quite an amazing place. I went there 2 or 3 years back, had an amazing time. Went mountain biking, a good long walk, kayaking, rock climbing. Loved it there, I'd like to go back.

Re: Places to go
Regarding Knowsley, anyone know if you drive up to some sort of ticket booth, and pay, or do you park up, buy a ticket and show it?
