For those of you who still hear the hard drive spinning when put into standby, leave the box on and press "RESET" on the front panel of the V+ when its rebooted put the box into standby and after 2 mins the hard drive should spin down.

I leave my V+ box on at all times and when it hasn't been used for a few hours it goes into resting mode and the hard drive spins down, yesterday morning i got up and noticed the hard drive was still spinning so i pressed RESET and when i came home from work the hard drive had spun down.
