Tell me your secret?
Yes I have used torrents with loads of seeders etc.
Private sites with 10+mbit seeders are your friend.

If's its in your exchange.
If you are less than about 2.5 km's from the exchange.

2 big if's but if $ky are so much better than what you have now when are you moving to them. ?

If i was on ADSL provided out of the NTL exchange then as i am 10 .7 KM from the NTL exchange i would be lucky to even get 512k. However as i am on cable modem i get this.

For you ADSL fan boys just remember you cannot change the laws of physics or in other words the longer it is the worse it will get and no amount of tweaking will get it any better

broadband needs a return path, which a Sky dish doesn't have, it can receive, only, not transmit.

To be honest I doubt it. While Be have a good product it's still subject to the usual ADSL limitations and in the grand scheme of ADSL suppliers still a minority ISP (especially as 24mb is only available on LLU exchanges).

The financial state of NTL: TW means that they can't afford to compete directly with an ISP like that - they will aim to remain competitive with the majority market share. A high quality 10meg service does just that. (OK, some will argue the high quality part of that line but you get the idea...)

I only got 14mbps with ADSL2+ and I am only 1.4km from the exchange (line length) 600m as the crow flys.
