Re: Anyone know where I can buy this PSU?

Just got through to them, he said that the order would be delivered tomorrow to my home address so I'll have to let it go undelivered then pick it up from the Amtrack depot on Friday.
Regarding their IVR, and I quote, "it kind of broke but we are getting another one".

THE best place I've ever ordered computer bits from is Gladiator Computers (gladiatorcomputers.com), unbelievable customer service, get through on the phone at any time of day, orders are never despatched late and they're always packed really well. Some of their stuff is a bit more expensive and the range isn't as good as OCUK but if you find anything on there you need, they're well worth using.

Re: Anyone know where I can buy this PSU?

All sorted now, being the sneaky git I am I phoned my local Amtrak depot and arranged for the parcel to be kept in the warehouse instead of them delivering it, then I can collect it after work. (just got shipping number by email see)
As a result I get the goods a day early.

It's either work address or home, and they refused to change my address to my work for even a few days so I was screwed.
At least I've made my first order with them now though so I shouldn't have any more problems, although I seriously doubt if I'll be ordering from them again.

Shame really because their prices are excellent - the card I bought cost in excess of £350 without VAT in all the other places I tried.

Re: Anyone know where I can buy this PSU?

Maybe a mild overclock, but as you know - stability is more important ATM.

Anyhow, just picked up my package from the warehouse and the order is all correct.
Quite frankly I'm amazed it was actually "next-day" delivery for once.

Re: Anyone know where I can buy this PSU?

Wow, wow, wow.
I've have never in my life seen such quality parts.
The PSU is awesome build quality, it's got a shiny chrome finish and every single cable is the extra heavy-duty, braided type. When you turn it on the fan glows a pleasant green and I like the 3 LEDs (green ATM) on the back to let you know how the voltages are.
The Logitech combo again is superb, I've used the laser mouse before and I expect you've heard all about it but it's so smooth when moving - much more so than using the MX700 I had previously.
Also the keyboard just feels "luxury".

I did have a slight problem and that was while installing the graphics card - it literally wouldn't fit all the way into the slot and after 20 mins of cursing I realised that there were slots in the side of the motherboard tray specially for the end of the backplates.
The backplate of the card was ever so slightly bent so I straightened the two ends up and slotted it in.

I'll be doing some benchmarks shortly, just downloading 3DMark 2003 ATM.

Re: Anyone know where I can buy this PSU?

Sweet, I have a low profile ATX tower with a micro atx motherboard, do you think the same PSU would fit into it, as I would like a more quality one in it.

Re: Anyone know where I can buy this PSU?

No idea TBH.
If a standard ATX PSU fits then I'd say yes but don't take my word for it.

Re: Anyone know where I can buy this PSU?

3DMark scores coming with links shortly...

I got 12994 on my second run of 2003, which was a bit lower than my first (13300+), I expect this is because the VPU was already running hot and I closed the result window by mistake on the first so had to run it again!
