Sounds overall like the router has dropped the connection - am I right in thinking its wireless?

Try switching everything off - PC, router, CM and switching them on in reverse order - CM, router,PC - might sort itself out.

HTH dont shout if not, lol off to do as my avatar for a spell will check back later

Did she reset the router? If so she may need to reset the computers to release and renew the connection?? Will go look at the pdf manual I downloaded

i cant believe it online on both computers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you every one for all your help and one happy kid now can use messenger no more tantrums

a big thanks too for debbie putting up with my tantrums too on the phone

It was a bit strange in the end, we checked the router settings and it didn't have her pipex username and password in, re-entered that and away she went. I know bb31 doesn't know how to access it and I don't think the teenager from hell does. It has been running fine since we set it up a couple of weeks ago

At least it's working now and my ear can recover

Can't the router be password protected? Might just have corrupted some data that was stored on the router itself if no-one in the house can figure out the setup screen lol
