Re: Football Season 2011/12
Or even Rugby League.
I may be mistaken but was the 'move the free kick forward' not done as an experiment in football (Association) a while back somewhere?
Jim.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Problem is in football moving a kick 10 yard forward in the majority of instances doesn't really give an advantage. Also in some instances moving the kick could actually disadvantage the attacking team.
With rugby being more of a territory game this is more of a penalty.

The simple fact is there is no need for rule changes. Law 12 states..... Why this isn't enforced I don't know.
Quote:
A player shall be sent off the field of play and shown the red card, if, in the opinion of the referee, he:
(n) is guilty of violent conduct;
(o) is guilty of serious foul play;
(p) uses foul or abusive language;
(q) is guilty of a second cautionable offense after having received a caution.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
You can forgive 1st goal..it was almost a perfect breakaway goal
2nd was sloppy defending
But good for neutral...this will make the game more interesting

Re: Football Season 2011/12
he's trying Colin. Theo needs to up a gear.
Ramseys done for the season but putting him on was required with Arteta going off injuried. Ox on for Ramsey early second half is needed.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
I can see Arsenal scoring more goals...but equally I can see Wigan hitting the net. So think Arsenal need at least another 3 goals
