Thanks mate - I think you will find it useful in the long run. Unlike DVRs that just record what you ask for Tivo is about collecting lots of tailored content for you to pick and choose from.

Suggestions are effectively treated as free space on the HDD so there is no reason not to let that free space be used to gather a back-up library of programmes you might like for those odd times you run out of things to watch or want to try something new.

Because l do not like american comedy and never have done, give me british comedy any day of the week.

Well just for you l will give it another watch when l have recorded a episode through tivo.

In general i would agree however one american comedy that does chime in with the british sense of humour i find is "curb your enthusiasm" with Larry David (the writer) in circumstances that reflect real lfe situations i find it hiliarious.

Now that is 2 series l will have to add to my series link, any more and l will be running out of space.

Me too! I think it's down to a different sense of humour but I just don't get the American comedy.
