He is not a hero to me l can assure you and deserves no special treatment Chad and there are no excuses for his behaviour but it does make me laugh when parts of society preach morality but alas they somehow can't preach it to themselves.

I pointed out he is a good commentator. He can also be in idiot. Hence I feel BT will regret his employment as he will be an idiot again.

Like others, I've heard similar and spoken out against it to.
The fact that Andy Gray is a public figure and his wages are paid by viewers subscriptions makes it a lot worse than some 'laddish' behaviour down the local pub.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
I don't condone Andy Gray's behaviour, but I can't begrudge him having a job, and I happen to think he's very good at it. If his behaviour in the workplace is unacceptable then his employers should act, as Sky did. But they should act in such a way that the matter is concluded to the satisfaction of all concerned, not leave room for a future smear campaign when he has the front to seek alternative employer with somebody who just happens to be your main competitor. That's pretty poor behaviour too, in my book.

Yes. The employer should confront that type of behaviour when it happens, and make it clear that it is unacceptable.

I can see why people may feel he was stitched up, especially if people think his behaviour was just "a bit of banter" - I am not saying you do BTW.
Personally, I do not think he was. His behaviour was reprehensible and there is no need for it in any professional business. Sadly, it does happen in all walks of life, but I would be livid if a girlfriend of mine ever came back form work and informed me of such behaviour.
Just because he worked in football punditry at Sky, it did not allow him to act like a fan on the terraces (i.e. giving out "a bit of banter" to any female in sight) or to treat professional and hard working females in such a degrading way.
His behaviour was wrong, and was justly punished in my eyes. If anything, he should be grateful he kept his job over such a long period of time.
I will hope he has learned from his previous behaviour, but I would suspect he will not.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
This is interesting, particularly:
'If Liberty Global and Discovery were to secure the Formula One voting rights, they will effectively be able to determine which television company gets the broadcasting rights when they next come up for offer. Liberty could use them to boost Virgin Media, but it may prefer to take BT’s cash, and use BT’s burgeoning television platform as the most efficient way to put a dent in the BSkyB empire.'
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/n...-F1-stake.html
This should enable Liberty/Virgin Media to exercise some leverage over Sky, if it comes off that is.
