Because it was considered a premium product at the time.
People now expect PVR's as standard, mostly at no extra cost.
VM have a different model though so that's upto them, Joe Bloggs will as ever decide what suits him.

Depends what your priorities are, as ever.

How much is Skys phone service then?

£16.25 a month including CLI, 01/02 03 and 0870 calls, free calls to 20 international destinations too.
I pay VM £23 for XL and CLI. No 0870 or international calls either.

Sky+ then was new technology so cost more per month, it's a decade old now. So comparing manture technology to Virgin TiVo which is new isn't a valid comparison

On the ebay app, can you actually log in to your account, or is it just used for browsing ebay ?
Thanks

Ah yes but V+ has been around for 5 years hasn't it.
Is it not the case anyone not on XL pays £5 a month for it?

Re: TiVo
With VM charging half the price that SKY was charging they get the option of keeping it for twice as long
P.S why are we talking about what SKY charges ( i thought that this was a forum for VIRGIN? ).

It's not cost effective for VM to Support a free V+HD service for those customers.

Re: TiVo
I don't see the point of saying sky is cheaper for this, VM for that. They both have pluses and minuses and it's a case of what is best for the services you want.
Besides pricing and content, I also take customer sevice, reliability and repair costs into account.

Well why did no-one say? If it is in regards to the TIVO charge are they meant to do it free of charge?
