One interesting fact is Newcastle spent £35 on their new players and Liverpool spent £35 million on a championship striker and l think that says everything.

Jose Enrique Twitter quote, July 25th 2011:
"The club is allowing all the major players of the team to go. Seriously, do you think it is the fault of the players? This club will never again fight to be among the top 6 again with this policy.'
Jose on Newcastle..
If Spurs fail to win they better turn around and look at us and Chelsea having a little peek.

And a lot of Newcastle's fans shared that sentiment.
Newcastle really have done much better than Liverpool in the Transfer Market (and the league). They almost rebuilt an entire team from the money that Liverpool gave them for Carroll.

Just saw the Carroll dive. LOL!!
Either he chose to dive when he had a clear, gaping, net or he forgot how to run and trip over himself. I suspect it might be the later because surely you would go for the open goal....Either way is pretty funny.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Good decision by Krul, far too often keepers get pulled into that and make minimal contact only for the player to act like he'd been shot and 9/10 the ref buys into it and gives a penalty.
Krul has made him look a fool.
Perch went down like a fool aswell, regardless its a stupid move by Reina.
Kenny: It's not a penalty but he hasn't dived... clearly

To be honest I was a Kenny I am not sure that the argument that striker he paid £35 million for just fell over in front of an open goal is preferable to him diving.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
I don't know what the most embarrassing part is...the dive itself, Carroll arguing with the ref that it should have been a penalty or Dalglish saying it wasn't a dive?

Well If I was to hazard a guess, I would say it's a sort of combination of the two. I don't think he would have dived when he had sight of the goal. He seemed to think about 'winning' a penalty of Krul and didn't account for Krul pulling out of the challenge, hesitated, lost his footing, then fell to ground. He wouldn't have taken that extra touch otherwise.
