Re: [Merged] Promote your own website
Its more of a forum than a fully fledged website, why dont you design a site around it, you're more likely to attract new visitors that way.

Re: [Merged] Promote your own website
I've finally, after nearly a month, got around to making & uploading the diary & photo galleries from my recent holiday in Prague.
Prague Holiday Photos & Diary
There are also a few other galleries there which have been added since whenever I last posted the link here. Although my fave gallery is still the original one, from my 2 week trip around Peru a year ago - Peru Holiday Photos & Diary
Of course, the site itself still looks crap.....I may eventually try doing it properly (if I ever learn how of course, LOL). I suppose I could maybe at least use one of the image gallery things that I-Web provide via Fantastico. If I can be bothered.

Re: [Merged] Promote your own website
I like the way they shortened the name from 'Emmerdale Farm' to 'Emmerdale' - that way they can pack more story in.

He's probably talking in code in his posts - when he talks about reconfiguring hardware, and debugging software, he's actually advertising himself as dominatrix...

(when they would already be a member here, where there are rather more active forums of the same names)
Obviously, the problem with forums is that if they are dead, no one joins them, but if no one joins them, they stay dead.......
Perhaps you need something to base your forums around, rather than just simply having a bunch of forums.
Maybe an actual site, with some forums specific to it? Perhaps just start with a few relevant forums, then if you get the members, & people stay, you could add more forums & expand the place.
