Yes. Nothing worthless about it, actually.

Where have you been?

It’s been announced for weeks the UK has been supplying military equipment and supplies, there is even our own personnel there training them on its use.

Also- The Ukrainians are kicking Russia’s butt here, sure there have been many casualties, civilian ones too, but I’m seeing from people on the ground there, not random folk on social media, but following Kyiv journalists, Ukrainian citizens. Ukraine is putting up a lot of resistance and they even acknowledged the other day, the weapons we supplied them, have helped to destroy Russian hardware.

Cyprus and Hungary have stated that they will not block Russia's disconnection from SWIFT

https://kyivindependent.com/uncatego...sia-off-swift/

Also, Ukrainian President just tweeted this.

https://twitter.com/zelenskyyua/stat...897774598?s=21

Quote:
I thank my friend Mr. President of @RTErdogan and the people of for their strong support. The ban on the passage of warships to the Black Sea and significant military and humanitarian support for are extremely important today. The people of will never forget that!

Re: Russia has invaded Ukraine

From the Ukrainian Defence Minister on FB

Quote:
Dear Ukrainians!

Over 55 hours of resistance. Our defenders and defenders have completely destroyed the plans of the enemy.

As of this morning, the number of destroyed Russian occupiers has exceeded 3000 people.
More than 200 interventions were imprisoned. The number of prisoners is increasing. They didn't expect such a cut off and they give up on themselves.

Hundreds of units of armored technicians have been destroyed, in particular - over a hundred Russian tanks. Yesterday, 7 helicopters were shot down by Stingerami.

The enemy is trying to change tactics. Russian troops fire residential quarters, hospitals, educational institutions.

As the rapid attack of large columns zhalinuvsâ, the DRG and paratroopers began to be more active. Our army and terror defense are effectively destroying them. But the defense forces need help to act on prejudice.

Appealing to all of you.

In Kiev, Kharkiv, other cities act koriguvalniki*, who can set fire to your homes or proclave the way to Russian troops. They are the eyes of the enemy.

If you see suspicious persons setting up beacons, tagging, unable to clearly explain the purpose of their stay in a certain place, detain them on their own, or inform the police. Delays can become a source of useful information.

I address separately to those who consciously cooperate with Russian occupants or may be deceived by promises to "make money".

In two days, Russian inhumans killed almost two hundred civilians, three of them children. 33 more children were injured.

Under such circumstances, you just may not be able to find or hold you alive. Refuse criminal intentions before it's too late.

A special request for the residents of Ukrainian villages and small towns, as well as everyone who will have a relevant reason.

If a column of Russian armored technology passed you, after a while there will be a fuel column. Hold her down or burn her down. Russian tanks will just stop, our troops will seize them and use them against the enemy.

Ukraine will win anyway!
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Army of Ukraine!

The Russians could easily prove the Ukrainians were alive by showing the "82 prisoners" - they haven’t done so.

Mmmm - who to trust more; the illegal invaders who have a history of lying and wouldn’t know the truth if it came to their front door wearing a name-badge with "TRUTH" on it, or the people whose country is under attack from the Russians?

The Ukrainian Government is encouraging independent reporting from Western media, whilst Russia is arresting anti-war protestors and blocking social media.

I’m pretty sure we didn’t have "both sides might be lying" when Poland was invaded in 1939…
I get all that but I am not going to just blanket believe everything that comes out of the Ukraine I will remain sceptical of everything other than the fact Russia is invading a sovereign country and everything needs to be done to stop them short of WWIII

China are a friend of Ukraine as well as Russia, so using nukes isnt likely to go down well, even with them.
(They are not exactly backing him now, rather treading a kind of neutral line).

"Sceptical" is fine, but "common sense" is better - re Snake Island, Russia’s story is easily provable (by showing the 82 prisoners); the fact they haven’t done this lends credence to the Ukrainian version…

In what way?

More likely to be thermobaric missiles.

Bugger! These things are very nasty…

Quote:
Thermobaric weapons are considered to be one of the most brutal war weapons that exist.

The missiles are filled with a highly explosive fuel and chemical mix, which, on exploding can cause supersonic blast waves that can obliterate everything in its path, including buildings and humans. They are also known as aerosol bombs or vacuum bombs.

NEW: U.S is eyeing sanctions on Russia’s central bank, I'm told, a move that would target much of the $643b reserves Putin has amassed

Germany finally buckles after coming under increasing pressure to supply military supplies to Ukraine. Rare move for them. But welcome. https://www.politico.eu/article/ukra...arms-supplies/

Most unwise. Johnson will have the chance to ridicule Starmer on this one.
Keeping channels open is better than giving them an excuse to chuck out our diplomatic team in Moscow.
