Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

If a call misroutes with the new IVR it will be down to the customer

If I remember correctly there is actually only one menu choice less on 151 than there is on 150 with the new IVR

Yet to see it work as up to yesterday we never had it and still had to ask for customer account details, so we still had misrouted calls up to then.

Well as it only got switched on this morning for some customers that would make sense!

I'm still using a 120 Ambit modem on 10MB. If I phone up do you think they'll give me a Superhub?

No but they should replace that old modem.

Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

If the superhubs have issues with UDP that is a hassle as our VPN now uses UDP or is it only incoming UDP that matters. I got onto 50MB just before they finalised the super hub so have the DIR615 and separate SACM.

Still I'd never turn off firewall on hardware. It's there for a purpose and means that any device I connect on the LAN side is protected whatever the OS or available software.

Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

The Superhub's flood protection affects stateless traffic going in either direction, so your VPN could be affected if there's high amounts of throughput on it. But flood protection can easily be turned off (and IMO offers no real protection anyway, as by the time the data reaches the flood protection component it has already passed over your internet connection, thus flooding you).

Re: Virgin to give new Superhub out.

Specs... One DOCSIS 3 cable modem with 8 DS and 4 US bonding capability, connected to a router, 4-port gigabit switch and single dual-band wireless N 2x2 radio (AFAIK). Netgear firmware and hardware modified for VM. What else do you need to know?
