That's kids and rejects.
Paddy Gamble - kid
Ricky Hanson - trialist
Alan Rogers - fat useless scouse tw*t reject
Paul Evans- lower division clogger, about the only real first teamer
John Thompson - just come back from serious injury
Justyn Roberts - kid
James Beaumont- promising attacking midfielder but still lightweight- kid
Adam Nowland - Saskia's ex and a massive sicknote
Neil Harris- ex-Cambridge City, only started 1 game under Megson in 4 months. Also has personal problems
John-Paul Pitman - kid
Mick Heywood - kid or trialist (can't remember)
That's hardly strong enough to be classed as a reserve XI but even so, I don't even think it was designated 1st XI. Still...
Edit: compare that with what should start v Huddersfield on Sat
Gerrard / Pedersen
Eaden Morgan Breckin Padula/Curtis
Southall Holt Friio/Bopp/Gardner Commons
and 2 from Dobie, Taylor, Johnson (probably the first two)

Yep, just a run out for both sides then, United's side was full of trialists except three, Duncan, Quinton and Gleeson, all the rest are hoping they are offered a contract, the club only came out of admin 2 weeks ago, meaning, I don't give the club much hope in the conference this coming season

Re: The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
well i'm glad he's gone.. he was never any good.. couldn't pass the ball and had no vision.. all he ever did was pass to whoever was 5 yards to his left or right.. he had no defending brain and always stood in the wrong place and gave stupid fouls and pens away
he wasn't good enough to get 1 cap let along 50

Tight-fisted Glazer stops Owen transfer
According to a report in The Guardian, 'Sir Alex Ferguson has been placed under far stricter financial restrictions than had been anticipated under the Glazer regime. The official line from the new owners was that significant funds were available but, privately, Ferguson has been told the priority is to offload players, a policy that gathered momentum with the £3.5m transfer of Phil Neville to Everton.'
