Joss Whedon has created the best comic-book superhero film I have ever seen.
Brilliant action scenes, dialogue, and humour all through it. I spent most of the film with a massive grin on my face, and had to resist clapping several times. Myself and the rest of the audience laughed and cheered multiple times throughout the film.
10/10

l have to admit l had some doubts about this film but with your write up l don't think l have any worries on that score anymore.

Excellent "review" Matt I'm hoping to see it this weekend and although it looked good I was hoping the story was up to it too...

Avengers (Avengers Assemble)
10/10 nothing at fault at all. In my eyes the best superhero/comic book movie ever. It was that good. Some really great moments and every character gets explored and used brilliantly. Ruffalo is also the best Banner/Hulk I've seen.
Fav quote was
Loki 'I have an army'
Stark 'We have a hulk'

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
One of the best scenes of that involves Loki and Hulk.
It went something like that anyways.

Black Hawk Down (2001) - 10/10
Anyone that has not seen this film must watch it. Still one of the greatest films I've ever seen.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Another high score for the Avengers 9.5/10 from me.
So many excellent bits in it. The hulk giving a playful tap to another character got a good laugh. I saw it in bog standard 2D, is it worth rewatching in IMAX?

We saw it at out local Odeon "Liemax". A lot of the film did look really cool in 3d, especially the visual effects of Iron Man's HUD, flying scenes etc, but close up action sequences looked a bit blurry and couldn't see what was going on, so although I was glad we paid the extra, if you've seen it once in 2d, i wouldn't say it's worth paying out again.
