Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Apparently Sanchez might be resigning this afternoon citing personal reasons, he is due to release a statement later.
According to a friend of a friend who was speaking to some of the squad in a club last night there is a lot of bad feeling between some players and Sanchez.

I thought that to but considering there was international football yesterday, I suspect that they should of saved this for a 'no news' day

ROONEY 'PUNCHED' GRAY AFTER SPAT
Wayne Rooney was involved in an altercation with fellow Premiership star Michael Gray in a plush Manchester restaurant on Saturday night.
The 20-year-old Manchester United striker was with fiancee Coleen McLoughlin and three other couples, all long-standing close friends of the pair, at the Panacea restaurant, when Gray, himself capped three times by England in 1999, wandered over, apparently under the influence of alcohol.
The footballers exchanged words before it is alleged Rooney, while still seated, punched Gray, giving the player, who is now at Blackburn, a black eye.
"Wayne and Coleen were enjoying a night out with three other couples and were having a quiet dinner when Michael came up to their table uninvited," said a spokesman for the striker.
"Michael then began making a number of remarks which were offensive to Coleen and Wayne's other female guests.

No, not me. Spurs.
If someone insulted me, my husband would give them more than a slap. I think what Rooney did was entirely reasonable. Gray insulted his fiancee. Gray got a slap. Problem?

Thing is, Gray hasn't reported or complained about it, and no police were called. I think Grays silence speaks volumes...

Reasonable if you think belting people solves problems. Maybe one day your hubby will 'defend your honour' and bite off more than he can chew. Would you both be proud then? Husband in hospital, because he couldn't turn the other cheek to a bit of mouth? Presumably if you wanted the other guy for assault, you'd turn your hubby in too?
And no, I am not a hippy either, but this is neanderthal behavior.

Sometimes, people need a slap.

Not likely. At 6'5", 18 stone and an ex-boxer, he can take care of himself.

Until he gets stabbed, shot, beaten with a baseball bat or attacked by 5+ people. No matter how small someone looks, you never know who they might be connected with. People who you hubby can't deal with. You never know what trouble you'll get yourself into. Also 12 year olds carry knives these days.

Charming response. There I was thinking I already headed off such petty posts with "I am not a hippy". I suppose that ends the discussion then.
Noone rattled my cage. You stated your opinion. I have an opposing one and also stated it. Problem?
I really couldn't a monkey's what you and your hubby get upto nor what happens in consequence. You're both grown ups. However, i've seen all too often the consequences post #372 happening in real life, so you might class that as a bit of friendly advice. As I said, I couldn't give a monkey's either way, but this is a discussion forum, so I thought i'd... errr... discuss it. Not relevent, but incidently I do give a monkey's though about irresponsible people who pass this ethos down the line (to children, younger siblings, impressionables etc.) which is leading to and endless circle of violent behavior.
