Red Button events on Virgin Tivo

Right now Connected Red Button does not currently feature eTV (enhanced TV) streams on the Virgin TiVo service. While users can already enjoy live coverage and highlights from a range of Sporting events on the service, we are working to extend this capability to a wider range of events, on and off-schedule content during 2013.

Re: BBC Red Button

Used the Red button late last night - Forgot to set Silent witness part two ( normally just watch) It was SO much better than it was when I last tried prior to Christmas as I recall. Well done BBC. Its nothing to do with Virgin ( Or so I was told before)

Yes indeed you are correct in your assumption as its the BBC that has full responsibilty with its Red Button.

It is a very good menu system, shame anytime I try to use the iPlayer it just stutters constantly.

Re: BBC Red Button

Some details about the Glastonbury coverage, including Connected Red Button coverage

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/lat...bury-2013.html

Quote:
On TV, three additional red button streams will offer more content and highlights from the festival, and the BBC’s Connected Red Button service available on Virgin Media’s TiVo service will bring viewers all the live streams and on-demand video seamlessly on their TV.
Just to make it clear, this is from the Guardian http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2013...al-glastonbury

Quote:
Six streams of live music from six different festival stages will be available on mobile, tablets and PCs, as well as Virgin Media homes with a "connected" red button. A seventh roving camera will follow the BBC's presenters in the build-up to the festival on Friday.

Springwatch was available as an extra stream today on Tivo so the BBC are doing their bit at last.

Just in from work, and every live game from the Wimbledon home page is unwatchable.

Re: BBC Red Button

Just found all the Red Button channels 991, 992, 993, etc ie without going through the red button.

Quality is very good

Why is this not advertised ? Why does it say "Red Button" rather than "Got to Ch 99x"

I take it your watching via the BBC sports app if its any consolation its the same using the BBC Sports app on my PS3 , even when you select the HD option the PQ is awful nothing natural looking about it , I'm afraid these Internet streams the BBC has adopted just aren't up to the task of delivering decent PQ when it comes to sports action.

Re: BBC Red Button

Just posted a message on the Virgin Media forum and the BBC website about the poor picture quality through the Tivo BBC Sport app of the Wimbledon feeds. Ughh.. they are eye blurringly awful to watch. Are they running at 15 fps or something? Technically horrible.
