Re: Football Season 2010/2011
RBS will in all likelihood not extend the loans thus taking control over the club. Apparently the lawyers are working out if this is possible without incurring the administration fee. However it may well be that they cannot do this and will be deducted 9 points.
So it is a real possibility within the next month.

Far from a non story but it is just a take on what we already know as the campaign to try and oust the existing owners gathers pace and the widely reported deadline to pay back a large chunk of the club holding company's outstanding debt looms. I can't think of another premiership club whom, like LFC are in imminent danger of defaulting their existing credit facilities though.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Former England coach Terry Venables could be set to succeed John Toshack as Wales manager, setting him up for a double header against England in the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
Full story: Daily Mirror
Interesting appointment...

You can't polish a turd. If TV gets in, he'll leave in frustration after his contract runs out.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011
Wenger will never get sacked. We've got a very tough away game tonight and obviously Chelsea on Sunday...possibly 3 losses in a week but Wenger won't be in trouble. I truely believe the only thing missing is a world class keeper and staying injury free.

Terry Venables is an underrated manager. He did well for us and England given the players he had.

That's true but a man of his experience and reputation will not stand for the lack of support usually shown by the FAW.

I never forget when when he was offered the Middlesbrough job full time, working with Bryan Robson, he said he'd take it but couldn't work Saturdays as it clashed with his tv work!!!!
