Had my doublespeed upgrade a couple of weeks ago. I think it's never looked better

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Switched over to full SH2 mode, having moth-balled my beloved WNDR3700.
I'm not impressed with my TBB monitor readings if they are indicative of anything at all.

Mean latency is around 20 rather than my usual 11 and there are, as you can see, a lot of pronounced spikes.
Speed tests seem unaffected, just the higher latency. Time will tell if this affects my actual user experience.

I'm happy with my speeds, the ping's pretty unstable though.

Have you ruled out differences in routing as a result of the IP change?

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Looks like the "ramping" and "devils horns" thenry is seeing, resolved by restarting the dud, or by putting it into modem mode

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
First I turned the hub off and then back on.
Then the VM chap asked me to turn it off again so he could send some thing ! a signal I think it was and then to turn it back on again.
He said if there was no improvement to get back in touch.
That's it and it has improved.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
anyone able to advise on the cause of the increase in minimum latency?
I'm in the FK1 area. It been quite high now for a few weeks, it normally runs along the 20 mark.

Haven't really got a cause but after a while operating in router mode the graph starts to look like yours, then reboot sorts it temporarily but it starts ramping again

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
the firmwares crap. modem modes the saving grace for VM. an option the fools didnt put in initially! take over the router market BT and co, VM are in a bubble of their own.
