Re: World Cup 2006 Thread
Apalling, both teams and the referee should be bought to book by FIFA

16 Yellow 4 Red for a total of 25 fouls
The ref should be sacked he has ruined what could have been one of the best matches of this World Cup

while the ref was truly awful, i think the players did a good job of ruining the game themselves
---------- Post added at 22:23 ---------- Previous post was at 22:20 ----------
the thing is, i don't mind teams going on a rampage and killing each other(man utd of the 90s/early 2000s were brilliant at this), but only for a minute or so.
going beserk for 90 minutes though...

They certainly did not help, in fact they played into his hands with some of their antics but at the end of the day the buck stops with him, card happy or what, makes me wonder how many need to be sent of for a match to be declared void these days?

Re: World Cup 2006 Thread
16 cards for 25 fouls. What a complete prat. He was not in control of the game. Sure the players are to blame as well, but he invited it. This man should never ref a match at a major tournament again.
Oh, I thought Portugal were the better side, for the 45 minutes where you could tell. Shame this idiot deprived us of their chance to show it (for the remainder of the tournament).
Moron...

If FIFA view the video and spot Figo's headbut he may have to sit out the next game as well.
