well said the VIP pack needs to be better value for money, it's gone down hill over the last couple of years and isn't the same service alot of people signed up for in terms of value, it's about time they gave us more HD and maybe chucked in 50mb for the same price now.

I thought one of the (many) sticking points with having SkyHD content on VM was security. That being the case, surely the new card rollout must be completed before we get SkyHD basics and/or option for Sports/MoviesHD?

I was moved to NGTV in March but I still haven't received my shiny new red card - and no indication from VM that it's imminent.

If MB's insider is correct and SkyHD content is "a few weeks" away then the card rollout must be nearing completion or security is not the blocker it was assumed to be!?

Well, we have the basic SD channels from Sky with the 'security' I doubt sky will be bothered about the basic HD channels being on the 'unsecured' network for a few months. Maybe upset with the premium HD channels on the network though.

ESPN America have started to advertise their HD channel now, and on the version of the ad shown on ESPN UK they're saying that it'll be available on Sky. Any more news as to whether it'll be available on VM yet?

No news on if Virgin are getting or even in talks with ESPN about launching ESPN America HD on Virgin Media.

New Magners League TV rights deal agreed.

Announced today, the deal will see BBC Alba, BBC Northern Ireland, RTE and TG4 joining S4C and BBC Wales in broadcasting games from league (over the next three years).
