Re: Football Season 2011/12
Hoping this isn't true but given Mancini has started to make noises about it...

Arsenal face the prospect of losing a fifth player to Manchester City in three years after Robin van Persie provisionally agreed a contract with the Premier League leaders that promises to make him the division's best paid footballer.

If this happens then I really don't see the point in following the league anymore, given the amount of talent Man City already have upfront the idea they will continue to spent millions buying them makes me think they are just stockpiling players so others don't get them.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
he said hes always looking as he always does but clearly said he thinks Van Persie will sign a new contract with Arsenal. i cant remember if he said the same about nasri. he was pretty straight up about it.
you heard about Jack getting stick because he answered one of Ian Wrights questions on twitter.. CL with Arsenal or World Cup with England.. Jack answered World Cup as you would if asked between the two.. its massive!
and Van Persie has two pieces in thesun i think.. the Milan defeat and 3rd place. i havent read them but seen the links to both.
a photoshop pic of van persie with his coat held over his shoulder with the inside emirates as the background... make what you will of that ? im posting from my phone, google 'van persie thesun' - search options last 24hours

As Van Persie is being paid for the article (READ ALL ABOUT IT ... Robin van Persie signs for The Sun)
, I'm not surprised he says that, and even if he wasn't being paid, what else would he say but...3-4 was great result...we will get 3rd place
It would be more of a news story if he said the opposite

Somehow l cannot see him joining Man City and l think he will show his loyalty to Arsenal and sign a new contract soon.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Normally you can discount about 90% of stories about transfers...as it is usually papers trying to generate interest and speculating
But when it involves lots of money..can be true..(truer) as everyone (most) likes more money
