I went to do exactly the same thing as well haveing recently just got my new TiVo box.
So there is NO interaction with ANY BBC programmes at present only the NEWS, SPORT or I-PLAYER option. Is there a time frame as to when this connectivity will be available on TiVo?
(I'm SO glad I kept my V+HD box phew!!)

We’re working with the BBC to enhance our TiVo experience to give access to some new BBC apps which we’ll let you know about nearer the time they are ready to launch.

The BBC will also be reinventing the Red Button for the future, using new internet-based technologies which open up a world of content by bringing the depth and breadth of BBC Online together with the simplicity of Red Button. This service will be called Connected Red Button.

I no see no reason why VM won't be doing it. Up till recently S4C were adamant that VM couldn't do it not wouldn't do it, so I wonder how much engagement there was from them?
I'm sure it'll be on the list of things to add to TiVo
Also BBC Red Button and the alternate audio stream for S4C are completely different technically so the S4C thing is irrelevent to this thread

TBH, no it's not. You are the one that created the thread about S4C http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/11...-the-rest.html so why not use that to discuss it further, rather than this thread which is about BBC Red Button on TiVo, and not S4C on TiVo

Re: BBC Red Button
Can someone please explain how this RED BUTTON works on VM, and it is frustrating.
Watching the games on SS4 it stated that you could watch the different games, go to the channel (Celtic), try to go back to the Chelsea game, Red Button doesn't work.
Went to SS2 and did exactly the same as that is what my box was telling me, did that and found that l couldn't go back to the channel l wanted on the red button, so l had to keep going back to the guide and do it all again - driving me nuts.

Re: BBC Red Button
Strictly speaking this thread is about the BBC red button..not any other channel's red button.

Re: BBC Red Button
Great news but I hope they've sorted the appalling picture quality and buffering/stuttering issues on the streams. Watching multiscreen for Wimbledon this year was disgracefully bad.

..Oh and "It's not looking likely that the nifty new Red Button services will come to Sky though.
Daniel Danker, general manager of BBC programmes and on demand at the BBC told us, "Sky is a closed platform – I shouldn't even call it a platform, it's a closed service. There's no open platform to develop into. I have no line of sight of Connected Red Button coming to Sky unless they shift their approach."
